Hatha Flow Yoga - with Kathy Nolan
Vinyasa Flow - This class moves at a steady pace incorporating movement and flow between the postures (asanas).  Proper alignment in each pose is always a primary focus.  Classes may emphasize specific anatomical focus (twisting, back bending, forward bending, hip opening, upper body strength, balance, flexibility, core strength, etc.) and will have their basis in flowing vinyasa (linking movement with breath) to warm the body from the inside out and calm the mind.  Vinyasa Flow classes build strength, stamina, balance, flexibility and aim to quiet the mind in moving meditation.  Vinyasa Flow classes are open to yoga practitioners at every level.  Even experienced practitioners should expect to be challenged in this class.  Everyone is invited to move at their own pace and start from wherever you are.

Yoga Basics  - This class builds the foundations of your yoga practice, with a basic, well-rounded class emphasizing healthy & safe alignment in many essential yoga poses, and slowly introducing a flowing practice (linking movement with breath).  The class is open to all levels, including experienced practitioners who may want to re-establish the basics of proper alignment and yogic principles at a slower pace.  Beginning students may wish to start with Yoga Basics classes before progressing on to Vinyasa Flow.

Express Yoga ~ A well-rounded, complete vinyasa flow, stream-lined to fit into an hour-long class.  All levels welcome.

'Purna' Vinyasa Flow -'Purna' is a Sanskrit word meaning "full, complete or perfect."  This class is Kathy's signature vinyasa flow class, incorporating many essential yoga poses (asanas), flowing seamlessly through sun salutation variations, all the movements of the spine (forward and backward bending, twisting, lateral stretches and extension), balancing and strengthening postures, as well as inversions, and ending with a blissful savasana (final resting pose).  This is a challenging class, but is open to students at all levels.

Chair Yoga for Seniors -
Coming soon... This class is perfect for senior men and women who may have difficulty getting to the floor and back up to stand in a regular yoga class.  The chair provides support and stability in standing and seated postures, allowing the student to experience a yoga class where gentle backbends, forward bends, lateral stretches and twisting postures are easily accessible.  A chair yoga practice will benefit students in many of the same ways as a mat practice; improving flexibility, strength, circulation, range of motion, balance, posture, breathing and a calming of the mind.
